RAL 7028 Dark Yelow Color Guide:

• RAL 7028 Dunkelgelb was officially introduced as the primary camouflage color for German vehicles in 1943 in accordance with Wehrmacht official regulations A.H.M. 1943, Blatt 9 of 7 April 1943, No. 322 (O.K.H. (Ch H Rüst u. BdE), 3 April 1943 - 72/88/16 - In 2 (V). The camouflage patches RAL 8017 Rotbraun Nr. 19 and RAL 6003 Olivgrün were also proposed to be applied to this camouflage scheme.
• RAL 7028 was to replace Dunkelgelb nach Muster, the camouflage base color used in the 3-tone German AFV camouflage scheme according to A.H.M. 1943, Blatt 5 of 22 February 1943, No. 181 (O.K.H. (Ch d H Rüst u. BdE), 18th February 1943 - 72/88/1 - In 2 (V)), which also suggested the use of RAL 8017 Rotbraun Nr. 19 for blotches, but used RLM 62 Grün as a green color (RAL 6003 was introduced later, in March 1943).
• It is worth noting that this shade of RAL 7028 was never used for painting Wehrmacht vehicles, this paint was used mainly for painting agricultural machinery and tractors. The military used a different shade of RAL 7028, a 1943 version.
• RAL 7028 Dark Yellow was also used for painting equipment and ammunition such as gas cans, ammo boxes, faustpatrons, flasks, etc.
