Dunkelgelb nach Muster Color Guide:
- Dunkelgelb nach Muster was introduced in February 1943 by the Directive A.H.M. 1943, Blatt 5 from 22nd February 1943, No. 181 (O.K.H. (Ch d H Rüst u. BdE), 18th February 1943 - 72/88/1 - In 2 (V)) as an entirely new primary color for German vehicles to replace RAL 7021 Dukelgrau Nr. 46, which had been used for the same purpose since 1937.
- A.H.M. 1943, Blatt 5 of 22 February 1943, No. 181 also introduced an entirely new camouflage scheme for German aircraft or Tarnanstriche, which in addition to Dunkelgelb nach Muster included RAL 8017 Rotbraun Nr. 19 and RLM 62 Grün as the green color. This scheme was only used for newly produced vehicles between February and April 1943, so Dunkelgelb nach Muster was never used for field repairs and repaints.
- Dunkelgelb nach Muster was implemented as a temporary solution for a uniform camouflage color. It was never part of the RAL standard and has no RAL code.
- Dunkelgelb nach Muster was replaced by RAL 7028 in April 1943 according to A.H.M. 1943, Blatt 9 dated April 7, 1943, No. 322 (O.K.H. (Ch H Rüst u. BdE), April 3, 1943 - 72/88/16 - In 2 (V).
