Bianco Neve 6

A high-quality semi-gloss WW2 Italian ID white acrylic or enamel paint for scale models and creative work.

Bianco Neve 6 Color Guide:

  • Bianco Neve 6 was an Italian snow-white color supplied by Max Meyer, Duco, Corti, Arson, and Sisi during WW2.
  • Bianco Neve 6 was primarily used for identification markings.
  • Bianco Neve 6, along with Rosso Bandiera 8 and Verde Bandiera 9, was used to apply tricolor insignia to the rudders of Italian aircraft until June 1940.
  • Beginning in June 1940, the tricolor insignia on the rudders was replaced by the Savoy cross, usually painted with Bianco Neve 6 paint. The Savoy house badge was usually applied using decals and may not have been used if supplies were limited. Some aircraft that served away from the front line (training, seaplanes, etc.) may have retained tricolor rudders.
  • Bianco Neve 6 was also used to paint the narrow fuselage bands on Italian aircraft beginning in the fall of 1940. However, it was not widely used until early 1941 when there was a need for recognition for Axis units in the Mediterranean. Units operating on the Western Front had the yellow stripe painted using Giallo Cromo 7 instead of white.
  • Italian WW2 trainer aircraft had narrow ID bands on the fuselage and wings painted in Bianco Neve 6.
  • Bianco Neve 6 was also used to fully paint Italian air-ambulance and rescue aircraft, both land and seaplane.
  • White Bianco Neve 6 paint was also widely used for markings, aircraft numbers, stencils, etc. on Italian aircraft.
