Light Green
A high-quality semi-gloss WW2 RAF Light Green acrylic or enamel paint for scale models and historical miniatures.
MAP Light Green Guide:
- MAP Light Green is a medium green color introduced in 1938 for RAF aircraft camouflage.
- The main purpose of the Light Green color was to provide shadow compensation for the camouflage on WWII RAF biplanes painted according to the Temperate Land Scheme. Under this scheme, Light Green and Light Earth were to be used on the lower wings and lower part of the fuselage sides, while the upper parts were to be painted in their darker counterparts, Dark Green and Dark Earth respectively. It is worth noting that shadow compensation was not used on all RAF biplanes of the era, on some aircraft this was omitted, and the lower wings were painted in the traditional Dark Green and Dark Earth camouflage.
- Unlike Light Earth, Light Green has found no use in aircraft camouflage schemes other than shadow compensation in the Temperate Land scheme.
