Olive Drab No. 319

A high-quality semi-gloss late WW2 US Army & USMC olive drab acrylic or enamel paint for scale models and creative work.

Olive Drab No. 319 Color Guide:

  • Olive Drab No. 319 was an olive-drab color used primarily to camouflage U.S. Army and Marine Corps vehicles.
  • Olive Drab No. 319 was introduced in 1943 with Specification 3-1 update.
  • Olive Drab No. 319 was widely used to camouflage US Army and USMC vehicles from 1943 until the end of World War II.
  • Olive Drab No. 319 replaced Olive Drab No. 9, used at the beginning of World War II for the same purpose. The shades of these colors are virtually identical, except that Olive Drab No. 319 contained additional components for better-infrared camouflage and was less susceptible to fading. Olive Drab No. 22, in turn, was the successor to Olive Drab No. 22 used in the 1930s. All three shades of Olive Drab No. 9/22/319 had nearly the same hue.
  • Olive Drab No. 319 was also used for desert camouflage for American aircraft of the Northwest African Air Force. In addition to Olive Drab No. 319, these schemes also included Field Drab No. 303, Field Green No. 321, and Sand No. 49 ( for more details see WW2 NAAF Aircraft Camouflage).
  • Olive Drab No. 319 was discontinued in August 1945 with the introduction of a new color, Olive Drab No. 202, which was also soon redesignated as Olive Drab 3412 and eventually became FS 34087 Olive Drab.
