ANA 611 Interior Green
A high-quality semi-gloss WW2 US interior green acrylic or enamel paint for aircraft scale models and creative work.
ANA 611 Interior Green Color Guide:
- ANA 611 Interior Green was introduced in 1943 under ANA Bulletin No. 157, dated September 28, 1943.
- ANA 611 Interior Geen was designed to unify and standardize the various green aircraft interior colors previously used to paint US aircraft. Most of these were variations of Green Zinc Chromate, and their shade varied from airplane factory to airplane factory.
- US aircraft delivered under the lend-lease program to Great Britain and the USSR usually retained their original American cockpit and interior colors. Most aircraft supplied after 1943 had their cockpits painted ANA 611 Interior Green.
- ANA 611 Interior Green continued to be used after World War II. It was applied to both aircraft cockpits and interiors. In the 1950s it was replaced by the new cockpit color FS 36231 Dark Gull Gray, while the interiors remained in the ANA 611 color for over 10 more years when in the 1960s they received the new FS 17875 Insignia White paint scheme.
