EMA 8010-1 Pearl Gray 252 Color Guide:

  • EMA 8010-1 Cinza Pérola 252 was widely used to camouflage Brazilian Air Force and Naval Aviation aircraft mainly as a lower surface color.
  • EMA 8010-1 Cinza Pérola 252 was used for multi-color tactical camouflage of Brazilian Air Force aircraft. Under this scheme, the lower surfaces of the aircraft were to be painted in Cinza Pérola 252, while the upper surfaces had a 3-color camouflage of Terra 257, Verde Oliva 260, and Verde Seco 261. Sometimes Verde Folha 258 or Verde Acastanhado 262 was used instead of Verde Seco 261.
  • EMA 8010-1 Cinza Pérola 252 was also used to paint the lower surfaces of the aircraft following another variation of the tactical camouflage scheme that involved the use of Cinza Escuro 254, Verde Folha 258, and Terra 257 for the upper surfaces.
  • EMA 8010-1 Cinza Pérola 252 was also used to camouflage naval aircraft. Naval aircraft such as Lockheed Neptune or Grumman Tracker of the Brazilian Air Force could be painted entirely in Cinza Pérola 252, with the top of the fuselage finished in the white color Branco Insígnia 205.
  • EMA 8010-1 Pearl Gray 252 was applicable for Marine Aviation camouflage as well. Under this scheme, the upper surfaces of Brazilian Marine aircraft were painted in FS 16187, and Pearl Gray 252 was used to camouflage the lower surfaces respectively.
