• DKH L40/52 Grau also known as AvionormNitrodecklack 7375 Graumatt was introduced in 1936.
• The DKH L40/52 Gray was widely used for the entire light gray painting of Luftwaffe aircraft in the 1930s and 1940s, mostly civilian, but also prototypes and experimental aircraft.
• DKH L40/52 Gray was used by Lufthansa in the 1930s and 1940s to painting airliners.
