Seaplane Gray Color Guide:
- Gris Hydravions was a gray gull color used primarily to paint French naval aircraft beginning in the 1930s.
- Gris Hydravions was used for the complete single-color camouflage of French Aéronavale aircraft beginning in the 1930s and during World War II. This camouflage was used both for aircraft based on the mainland and for units serving in the colonies. Gris Hydravions continued to be used to camouflage naval aircraft even after the establishment of the Vichy regime in France.
- Gris Hydravions, in addition to its use on naval aircraft, found use as the uniform color of French fast aircraft produced by Société des Avions Bernard until the mid-1030s, when the company was defunct.
