A high-quality semi-gloss RAF/FAA interior green-gray acrylic or enamel paint for scale models and historical miniatures.

MAP Grey Green Color Guide:

  • MAP Grey Green was introduced as a cockpit color of RAF and FAA aircraft just before the outbreak of World War II.
  • Grey Green was used as the cockpit color of RAF and FAA aircraft throughout World War II. However, from mid-1942, some aircraft, such as the Typhoon and Tempest, began to receive cockpits painted Night. Visible through the glazing, the interiors of RAF WW2 night bombers were also usually painted Night, although invisible parts could be painted Grey Green.
  • Grey Green may also have been used to paint the wheel wells of twin-engined RAF aircraft of World War II, the landing gear struts usually retaining their natural metallic finish. However, night bombers as well as single-engine aircraft usually had the wheel wells painted the same color as the undersides of the aircraft.
  • Gray Green was also used to paint the bomb bays of WW2 RAF bombers. However, as with wheel wells, bomb bays of night bombers were usually painted Night.
  • British-built aircraft delivered to the USSR under the Lend-Lease program usually retained their original Grey Green color.
  • It is worth noting that US-built aircraft delivered under the lend-lease program retained their original interior colors and were usually not repainted in MAP Grey Green.
  • Gray Green was discontinued as an interior color just after World War II and replaced by Night for newly produced aircraft.
